No doubt you’ve already heard of butter chicken before, even if you haven’t dined at an Indian restaurant before. Butter Chicken is dish loved by many for its delicious tender chicken and aromatic, tomato flavours. The sauce used in Butter Chicken consists of a number of ingredients. These can be ginger, garlic, garam masala, chilli, coriander, turmeric, cumin, lemon and/or lime. These ingredients are then combined with cream and yoghurt. The chicken is then marinated within the source for a few hours.
A succulent lamb dish, Rogan Josh is definitely one of the most popular dishes you will find at Masala Island Indian Restaurant. Much like Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh has lots of different ingredients that combine to make a sweet-smelling curry that you are sure to love. Starting with a gravy base, a combination of yoghurt, ginger, shallots, garlic, bay leaves, cardamom, and/or cinnamon are added. Rogan Josh gets its enticing red colour from de-seeded Kashmiri chillies.
If you haven’t eaten at an Indian restaurant before Korma is another popular dish for you to try. At Masala Island, when you order Korma, you can choose between beef, chicken, lamb or goat. Korma, again, like other Indian dishes contains lots of delicious ingredients including garlic, ginger and/or cardamom, all added to a cashew gravy.
